Blister Packaging:- prevent contamination, extend shelf life and protect products

Water is the single most damaging contaminant. Moisture can seep through any form of packaging – from blister packs and sachets through to capsules, containers and conventional card-based packs. Water can slash shelf life and damage products.

Even blister packs are vulnerable, with the vapour flow though the formed blister often being 400% of that through the laminated plastic alone.

Versaperm, leaders in water vapour measurement technology, has two simple solutions. First, a meter which can measure the permeability of both the packaging material and the finished package itself. It does this extremely quickly, sometimes in as little as 30 minutes as opposed to several days for conventional testing. The second solution is the company’s lab service, which can measure the permeability for you.

Versaperm’s WVTR meter is versatile, fast, reliable, gives highly reproducible results and can be used to test virtually all packaging types. It also allows the temperature and humidity of the sample to be accurately controlled. Results are clearly shown on the equipment.
