Versaperm’s, new WVTR
(Water Vapour Transmission) meter can measure the permeability of both
individual materials as well as finished packages or product. Finished
products can vary greatly from predicted values based on the materials
used – with manufacturing processes such as forming typically reducing
permeability by 75%.
The new MKVI WVTR meter can
measure the water vapour permeability of almost any material or product
and unlike conventional gravimetric measurements which take days or even
weeks, it can produce results in as little as 30 minutes in some materials.
This eases the never-ending quest for effective products with new marketing
and technical features.
The meter offers highly automated
computerised control and is capable of coping with several samples at
a time, giving results that can be accurate to a few part per million
(with some samples a few parts per hundred million).
Versaperm also offers a laboratory
testing service for companies who test too few samples to make the purchase
of equipment viable.
