Damp Paper And Coatings?
Quality Control and permeability measurement of gasses

The printability, mechanical handling, strength of paper, along with the finished quality and a range of other features are all controlled by the permeability of the paper and its coating.  Versaperm has introduced a new and improved way to both measure and quality control it.

The system can be used either in a development lab, or indeed for QC on a factory floor where it offers a fast and efficient way to measure this vital characteristic.

Versaperm’s system is accurate, fast, reliable and easy to use and can determine the permeability of the paper, the coating or both, often producing results in as little as 30 minutes.  Tiny and fractional variations in the composition of a coating can often result in disproportionately major changes to the finished products printability and performance.

The technical demands on paper have changed rapidly over recent years, largely due to new demands from new products and printing systems.  The Versaperm permeability meter allows paper and coating manufacturers to meet this need.

Depending on the sample and vapour, measurements are accurate to better than one part per million (with some samples a few parts per hundred million).    Versaperm also offers a laboratory service for permeability measurement.
